What is Drop Notch?
Your coding agents, in your Mac's notch. Type a prompt, watch the tool calls go by, approve changes and read the whole thread, without hunting for the right terminal window.
Which agents does it support?
Claude Code, Codex and 14 more agent CLIs, including Cursor, Copilot, Grok, OpenCode, Aider and Amp. Claude Code and Codex get the deepest support, with approvals right in the notch. It uses the ones you have already installed and signed into, and needs no API keys of its own.
Do I need a Mac with an actual notch?
No. On a Mac without one it draws a tab the height of the menu bar in the same spot, and everything works the same, external displays included.
Does any of my code leave my Mac?
Not to us. Drop Notch has no server that sees your code or your threads. Each agent talks to its own provider exactly as it does in a terminal, under that CLI's own settings. The app does tell our server when it is open, every 30 minutes, with its version and how often the panel was opened, so we can count active users. Nothing you type is sent.
Will it interrupt a session I started in a terminal?
No. It follows that session instead of taking it over, so you can watch it and reply from the notch while the terminal stays in charge.
macOS says the app is damaged
It isn't. The app is not notarised yet, so macOS refuses the first launch. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and press Open Anyway. If it still refuses, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Drop Notch.app" in Terminal once.
